Salieri vs Mozart: Requiem Mass

I enjoy both but lean quite strongly towards Salieri's, preferring the melody.

Mozart's has more layers though, which is a big difference between quite a bit of the output between the two composers.

Do you see where I'm coming from, even agree?

Both were delightful craftsmen.

I may prefer Antonio overall as a composer!  His elegance so brilliant.

Mozart. It's not even a competition. Salieri barely even qualifies as a second rate composer in my book.

I think both were excellent craftsman, but a technically ornate reading of Salieri does it for me over Mozart's "too many notes."
