I feel sym 6 is the beginning of Pettersson;'s masterful symphonic cycle. , 2,3,4, are forms and ideas taking shape, the 5th still bears some semblance to Sibelius. The 6th is where P excells. The cycle runs 6,7,8,9,10,11,13,14,15.
You can read in one of CPO's notes, maybe on sym 6, how the symphonies (the ones I kist) can be considered parts of   major symphonic cycle. Something i intuited before I read that note.
I rarely (never) listen to 2,3,4,5.

Paul if you didn't want to talk about it with us, you shouldn't have bothered posting in the first place.  Why register, make one post, and then unregister?  If you were going to do that why bother at all?  Why don't you just come back and have a conversation on this thread instead?  Why I am even bothering, you'll never read this! :D

David - LOL!  ;D  I was surprised to see Paul's name in reviewing recent posts - hope that he's doin' well after that Katrina experience!  But, I agree that he'll not likely return - BTW, Paul, if you do read this thread again, I still have that 'Lion' avatar that I helped you get into your profile!   ;) :D  Dave
