I posted this a long time ago, but thought it would be nice to repost it. In fact, either I'm forgetting a lot that was here, or there's actually new stuff since then.

The site has a bazillion little figures and pages from scores of Xenakis' music, usually accompanied by a sound file. Enjoy!  8)

Edit:

This audio extract is noted in Figure 22:

I've searched for this album but can't find any information about it. Anyone know anything about it?

this is the book that goes along with the site:
http://www.amazon.com/Xenakis-Life-Music-James-Harley/dp/0415971454/ref=sr_1_1/104-5624138-6435141?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1192989724&sr=8-1

sadly, it's $80  :P
on a related note, Xenakis' famous book "Formalized Music: Thought and Mathematics in Composition" is $40 on amazon, but it's online.......... in French  :(
i e-mailed his site once asking if they could get a copy in English and they never replied. How predictable.

ha, there you are Mikkel!
i actually sent you an e-mail a couple days ago since you haven't posted in a really long time- you can just ignore it though.  ;D

i'm surprised you didn't get it when it was at the "other" forum. I checked back and it says that i posted it "July 28, 2006"... yeah, that was awhile ago  :D

happy for everyone who finds this site interesting  :)

that really sucks...... eventually it'll get on CD if it isn't already, though who knows how long that'll be...

This disc was the first Xenakis LP I listened to. Actually my brother bought it back in 1970 when it came out, and he sold it along with all of his other LPs around 1986, when he got his first CD player. There were two Xenakis LPs in the same series, and we had them both when we were teens.
