I chanced upon this recently - it's a list of classical music used in movies. Far from comprehensive but still one of the best I've come across.

Haha, Naxos's enterprising qualities never burn out :D What a fun, useful and profitable idea by them.
Peanut butter, flour and sugar do not make cookies. They make FIRE.

Oooh that was cynical! I won't be using it as a purchasing tool - just a resource, if necessary, of course.

Indeed, Naxos often isn't first choice for people familiar with the wide spectrum of recordings available, but for the average person checking it, clicking each piece is too convenient to resist. Naxos is amazingly creative sometimes :) Fair play to them IMO, they provided the list ;D

Well quite! I don't think I have more than one Naxos recording. I am a bit of an elitist, in that I prefer to buy interpretations by the conductors/ensembles/solists that I am familiar with. I tend to stick to the known few. Although, in Naxos's defence they have released a few classic recordings of late, including some from one of my heroes - Furtwangler.
