Oh dear, I need a second lifetime to explore artists like Kate Bush but I might try what you recommend Mark because I don't have too much this kind of music (seems like I could have for about 8 euros delivered). I have a feeling I like just about everything she has done but perhaps I don't go crazy for it. She is perhaps my almost favorite artist but we'll see...

...thanks anyway for the rec!

I could be wrong, but I think you'll thank me for it. That album remains high on critics' lists of favourite pop albums.

I read the praising comments about the CD and listened sound clips. I just have an eclectic taste as you have seen. I rarely like what masses like. I have sensed for years I'd like any KB album but there are less known artists I am more interested about. Anyway, it's a good idea to have even one KB CD.
Spatial distortion is a serious problem deteriorating headphone listening.
Crossfeeders reduce spatial distortion and make the sound more natural
and less tiresome in headphone listening.

It's obvious you people haven't been paying attention so I'll have to toot my own horn:

Sarge - Magnard, Schmidt, P.D.Q. Bach  ;D

Seriously, to add a few who haven't been mentioned yet:

Joe Barron - Ives

Greta - Mahler, Sibelius

Bunny - Mahler

Mark - Saint-Saens

Guido - any composer who wrote works for cello

Karl - Henning

Sarge
the phone rings and somebody says,
"hey, they made a movie about
Mahler, you ought to go see it.
he was as f*cked-up as you are."

Some people's interests are so multifarious, and maybe even nefarious, that they are attached  to almost everyone!

Peter Schickele, not unlike Weird Al Yankovic, is one of America's greatest living all-around faves!   8)

I know...that's me. I like everyone, literally, from the medieval Anonymous to Eliot Carter....although I do have a Top 300  ;D

Man, Sarge, how can you cut off no. 301 like that?!  8)

Me and Saint-Saens? That's an association I can certainly bear. I have to admit I wouldn't have made it myself, but I've yet to hear a work by him that I haven't liked.

I harbor a certain jealousy that you have garnered this distinction ......... to the exclusion of everyone else .........

True. You and M Forever should also have shared this distinction.

M forever: Strauss

He liked lots of others, but defended Mr. S. most often - perhaps because the composer was insulted most often, though :)

Still, D Minor is gracious in the face of adverse canvassage

R. Although if you insulted J, Brahms would kick your ass :)
