I am in the middle of assembling the cd's Dave, and I will give fair warning when I am ready.

Okey-doke.

Harry

Time to revive this thread. I have a large portion of the Mozart box from Brilliant double. There are no liner notes or boxes, just the CD'S. I think about 100 cd's or more. I am looking for a good home, but that must be in Europe, because to the states heavy import taxes must be paid by the receiver, and thats defeating the object of the gift. Its free, but if you want to do something back you may send a JPC voucher to me, and I will spend it on my increasing  new list of to buy....
First comes gets. Send me your address in a PM as complete as possible, and I will send them to you.
Good luck.

Maybe they need to know what is in it? Well, I know what's NOT in it since I have the Canons and Cantatas...
Do what I must do, and let what must happen happen.

Its a surprise parcel Paul, I have no time to write down all whats in it, after all its for free, right.
But it doesn't matter, take it or leave it I say
;D

Harry

Matti, I have send the parcel today!

Harry

I have the Abbado DVD box, with the complete Symphonies by Beethoven, and its really not my thing, so its up for giving away to someone only in Europe, due to taxes in the States, and the region code. Anyone interested in this box can send me a PM. I would love to know why you want it. Its free, I pay the postage. It needs a good home.  :) The sound quality is very good as is the picture quality.

That is too bad about the taxes,Harry.  It is only $24 here in the states so sending it this way would be a waste I'm afraid.  George wa just discussing Abbado with me on the phone the other night and he enjoys his Beethoven.  Hopefully someone will snap it up.  Thank you for your continued generosity toward members here. :)

Actually, I love his Verdi Requiem, but beyond that I don't very much like his conducting.

We were speaking about Barenboim.

I'll jump in here. George may not like (or know) Abbado's Beethoven cycle, but David Ross loves it, on his recommendation I bought it a year ago, and now I love it too. One of my favorite overall cycles for sure, even though each individual symphony has several superior recordings by other conductors...

Very interesting, Brian, thanks!

Harry

Well nobody came forward till now.

How much is it to ship to the states here, Harry?

I pay the shipping happily myself Bill, but importing into the States, means high costs for you. After being confronted twice with this situation, I had regrettably stop sending things to the states. When my friends send me something they order it in Europe, I order in the USA for my friends. That way I avoid import costs.
