I might request that more of the files be audio, but then I am a demanding son of a bitch.  ;D

Off with the anachronisms, George. I'm into video now and audio lost its coolness factor. Don't tell me that listening to Bronfman is better than watching him in action.
Do yourself a favour and download the Kobrin video.  ;D

I have Prok's second from the last Proms too. Gergiev conducts Alexander Toradze there (if they guy can possibly be conducted...). I'll upload it as soon as the Brahms Double is completed (taken from the last Berlin PO anniversary: Rattle, Mork and Batiashvilli).

A treat for admirers of Maxim Vengerov. Here is his 1999 BBC Proms Recital. Taken from VHS video tape of a TV broadcast.

On the programme are:

"Balalika"
Franz Waxman: "Carmen Fantasy"
Brahms: Scherzo in C minor
Brahms: 3 Hungarian Dances (arr. Joachim)
Sarasate: Caprice Basque
Rachmaninov: Vocalise (arr. for Violin and Piano)
Ravel: Tzigane
Bazzini: Ronde des Lutins ("Dance of Goblins")

Violin: Maxim Vengerov
Piano: Vag Papian

AVI format. Stereo
3 files need to be rejoined with HJSplit - total download 672MB

How does one download these links?

If you, like me, are using Windows XP/Mozilla: Right click and "save link as..."

if you run other systems: I have no idea.

A Rapidshare tip?

Their bandwidth restriction for non premium users work by tracking your IP. If right after downloading the file you disconnect and reconnect to the internet, you will probably get a new IP and can continue catching files.

The Symphonic Dances were the final encore in their Proms presentation this year, and I have that on video. I can upload it if you people want.
