I think it is based on corn starch. A great sustainable alternative to styrofoam. Go JPC!

Amazon UK has the giant DG/Decca Verdi box for 92 pounds.  Elsewhere (on the same site!) it lists for 212 pounds, so a bit odd.  If you need all the Verdi, it's about 75 disks, top conductors and performers. I linked from England, but it gives the US one:

Maybe we can hope for an update in 2020, for the 60th anniversary? The Liège orchestra continues to record, so there might be 60 discs ! Time to start petitioning the Cyprès label, the current owner of these recordings.

Definitely a lot of small niche repertoire - I wish we had more of an effort by the main labels to put out such compilations. Chandos would be a great source!

All of the contents have been available on commercial records previously, but on small labels not widely distributed. The Tournemire symphonies, lots of Lekeu and Joseph Jongen, in particular. No Mahler, Beethoven, Bruckner, Schubert, Brahms, Schumann, no russian repertoire, IOW very little duplication with any other compilation.

Not me - if I'd wanted it I'd have kept VERY quiet.  Perhaps it was someone here who won it?  £42 is still cheap compared with what it sells for (or at least is priced at) elsewhere.

Yep. I was amazed by how much  of the music in that box I did not have in any recording.
