Amazon currently has thousands of titles under $5, including dozens (or more) under $3, as Add-ons.  Most are undesirable, but many nice titles can be had for a pittance.

Not exactly my cup of tea,  but I know some who respond to Ivor Bolton's approach in Bruckner. Be that as it may, JPC has the integral set of the numbered symphonies (1-9) for less than 10€ !!

I had it for awhile, listened to a few discs, didn't think much of it and gave it away. I would say of the 3 Oehm Bruckner cycles this one is the weakest.

Do you know of any way to search for them? Or even browse?

Plucked from The Asian Invasion, and edited a bit:

1.) Search in classical
2.) Select Amazon Prime Eligible
3.) Sort by price, low to high
4.) Update URL with page numbers to jump around more quickly

A sample URL with page number set to 50 (you need to update both page number locations to navigate):

Wilhelm Kempff's mono Beethoven sonatas set from the fifties (in mono) is on sale at JPC: 9 discs for 6.99€ (5.87€ ex-VAT).

For some this is the preferred version of Kempff's Beethoven. I used to have a few of them on cassette and the sound was OK. I can't tell if this Regis set ic competitive soundwise.

I have not heard the set, but I read somewhere, that the SQ is sub par.

I can confirm that.

So can I. I bought the Regis and immediately sought out the latest DGG version. The Regis is just sitting there and hasn't been played since day one. We live and learn.

So be it. There is a reason for everything, and that often is the case with deals that look too good to be true :D.

Another JPC bargain, hopefully in a slim box presentation (the pic is from Amazon, not JPC). 19.99€, or 16.80 € ex-VAT.

I've had 2 of these discs and was not especially enthusiastic. Maybe I should reassess...

Roland Batik's Mozart sonata cycle set is available for $6.80 at Amazon.

I stumbled upon this while trying https://www.junglesearch.net/# to perform some price range searching on Amazon.
Oooh! Purchased! Thank you.

Edit: guess that was the last one.

Thanks Christo - I've been waiting on that Langgaard symphony set dropping to a reasonable price - now ordered!

Ghost of Baron Scarpia

I don't know how long this will last, the big Szell box, 104 discs, is now selling for $131.99 on Amazon. That's about $1.27 per disc.

Thanks!! For exactly US $50 shipping included (with a 20% off coupon they sent me by email), I've just gotten the Langgaard symphonies, Holmboe concertos, and Buxtehude organ. Can't resist. Thought about the Nielsen orchestral box but I already have Gilbert, Chung/BIS, Martinon, Bernstein, and Salonen to keep me busy there.
