PS
I've just received a message from Discogs saying it has been shipped. I wait to see what Ollos has sent!
Wow! If it turns out to be the real deal I will kick myself!

Seems like a mis-listing but I've given it a try!
My suspicions were confirmed - just received this message:
"I am sorry Frank, we have a computer error and this will not be 77 CDs - we will refund - it looks like a single CD"

Sorry for your bad luck.  I suspect that it was this promo one instead:  https://www.discogs.com/Itzhak-Perlman-The-Complete-Warner-Recordings/release/7466389

Oof. :( Hope they give you the opportunity to back out.

As the old saying goes: if it's too good to be true, it usually is. :)

When I've tried to take advantage of obvious pricing errors (from corporate sellers) on Discogs, my orders have been cancelled, claimed "out of stock".
At least you got an honest explanation.

Well, I didn't but the member fpreedy did. ;)

Yeah, I know. I never figured out multi-quote. :-[
I did nail Walmart on a serious pricing error a couple of weeks ago!

I recently attempted to purchase a 10cd set of performances by Carl Schuricht on Scribendum. The price was okay (37$). The seller (one Yachev) canceled the order with the explanation 'account adjustment'. When I saw the money back into my account I repurchased it from the same seller. Same result (order canceled due to 'account adjustment'). The item disappeared and reappeared a few days later, sold by the same 'Yachev'. My 3rd order was canceled again, this time with the explanation that UK customs found the goods damaged and returned the item to the store, who didn't have a replacement to send me.  ::)

I gave Yachev a one star rating - 3 times.

In baseball terminology, he has struck out. Hit the bench, Yachev! :D

Once NaxosDirect accidentally included three 25 disc box sets in a $2.99 sale where each item was, well, $2.99. They actually accidentally forwarded me an internal email chain which said "oh no, this sale was meant to be $2.99 per disc, not per item, someone fix this!!"

...
And then they sent me the box sets!!!! Three sets, two copies each (I gave the extras to a friend), 150 CDs for $18!!

Very nice, Brian. 8)

Of course, who could forget the BlowItOutOfHere Amazon gaffe where their entire inventory was set at ridiculously low prices like $2.50 for a 40 CD set or $4.50 for a 100 CD set, etc. I bought A LOT of CDs that night, but they ended up canceling all but two of my orders (I placed 5 or 6 separate orders). I was incredibly lucky (along with anyone else who took advantage of this "sale"), but looking back, I completely understand why they cancelled the orders, but I'm sure they ended up honoring many of these orders and I'm happy that a few of mine got through. There's no doubt in my mind that had they shipped out everything that people bought that night, they'd be out-of-business and I'd certainly feel guilty for making a contribution. Even as much as I dislike a seller, I don't like the idea of them closing up shop unless they have a history of screwing their customers over, then that's an entirely different matter.

I remember back in late 2012 when there was a massive mistake made on Amazon for a bunch of SACDs that were listed at $1 each. I bought a boatload back then.

From Amazon directly or an Amazon MP seller?

I thought it might be but have just received the discs. It's the Beethoven Piano Trios (4CDs) with Perlman, Ashkenazy and Harrell. When I know the refund has been processed and then I can offer them the discs back (although when this kind of thing has happened to me before with other suppliers, they've always told me to keep the discs).

I had a rather vindictive seller give me a neutral rating once when I gave him one for selling me an LP that wasn't the correct version. I had to go to discogs and ask for it to be removed as my rating was reasonable; his was just vindictive.

I, sadly, had the same experience (they must have a surfeit of Piano Trio boxes), and am likewise waiting on the promised refund.

The Naxos Roussel symphony box set with Stéphane Denève is now just $13 at Europadisc. Absolutely a necessity. If you don't have it buy it!
