Nav or whoever else might know: do you see an expiry date for that 3-for-2 sale at Amazon.it?  I looked around a bit, but I can't see a date listed.

Thanks, Nav!

For those who might have missed it, the Presto "early music" sale offers some good deals, maybe not exactly steals, on a load of things.  Looks like virtually everything from Alia Vox is on sale, which I am happy about since I was disorganized and missed Presto last (recent) sale on that label.

That "early music" sale is enormous and also includes a lot of Mozart and even some Beethoven.

I'm sorry there only seems to be one copy left, but an Amazon US-MP seller is shucking a new copy of Jochum's Bruckner Berlin/Bavarian/DG cycle for $22+shipping.  This box has generally come down in price over the past year, it seems; but this is the lowest price I've seen.  Not everybody's favorite, but a great cycle, methinks, especially early on.  Anyway, FYI!

The Vivarte 60 cd box is available from some merchants on Amazon USA for under $90.

And it's pretty cheap.

Uh, correction: it's Super-Duper Cheap! (Well, not counting the 14.90 for postage. :()

Oh, and I though I'd add that it's the Arcana set, just in case someone's wondering.

It's a wonderful set which included superb liner notes written by Badura-Skoda himself in the original release. I hope these notes will be included in this re-release (it has been, at least, the practice of Arcana so far).

BTW, this is my second favorite complete set, just slightly after Malcolm Bilson.  :)

Arkiv sale: http://www.arkivmusic.com/classical/album.jsp?album_id=206638

Handel: SAUL + MESSIAH (Harmonia Mundi, 4cd).......Arkiv: $10!  beats the ~$30 price from Amazon US-MP and even the $20 price from BRO.
ASIN: B001CCHPNK

Arkiv's "deal of the day" (it was also the deal of yesterday, so maybe they just randomize a postlight things that are on sale indefinitely) actually looks pretty good, almost making me wish I had not purchased the silvered "Illuminati / Kurosawa-nuclear-apocalypse-de-Jean" edition of Jacobs' MESSIAH.....which I really like, a great deal, btw.  OVPP (afaik) + Freiburg Baroque Orchestra, how could one go wrong?  His SAUL I don't know, but I'm thinking of making the purchase just for that.
Of course, with that Dunedin Consort MESSIAH supposedly taking the cake, there is more competition for the HIP-MESSIAH spot on yr disc rack, but c'mon: can those of you who live in civilized places get even lunch for $10?

But it's that cover that is the icing on the cake.  Canaletto's views of Greenwich (or whatever is the actual source of that cover) just doesn't match.

BTW, I"m fairly sure it's not a OVPP recording.
Speaking of the Dunedin recording,  it's available on Amazon MP for roughly $16 including shipping, so I'm ordering it.  The seller is Zoverstocks, so hopefully I'll have it in time for Christmas.
