From Amazon Canada.  Even with postage added, still cheap.

You're right, I placed an order right away! :) Though it will probably take a while before it reaches the Low Lands.

Thanks! :)

This year's reissue box of Colin Davis' LSO Berlioz orchestral/sacred music (13cd) is at Amazon UK for £25.19.
ASIN: B00DMUOKGK  (does not seem to work at Amazon US, nor could find another listing)

This is the cheapest I've seen it so far.

17 discs for $24 and change from import CDs.
It's all good...

Octave

I also notice that Importcds has the lowest price I've seen for that Christian Gerhaher ART OF SONG 13cd set: $27.21 + ship.

The advance price for the Haitink SYMPHONY EDITION (36cd) dropped to £50.54 at Amazon UK.

I'm beginning to feel like a shill for this set, ironically at the point where <teeth clenched> I have resolved to just not buy the thing.  I'm inundated and something's gotta give.
But a deal's a deal!

Octave, you really sound like someone who is about to buy a new box of CDs!!
Strange, that price is about half what it is at US Amazon.  Once these sets get down to $2 a disc, they really are hard to resist, aren't they?.  Except... if someone already has the Walter, Abbado, Giulini, and Bernstein, is there really any reason to get this? Haitink is very good, but is there anywhere he is "the best"? I have his LvB concertos with Perahia, and his Bruckner, which are awesome--but maybe those are the real standouts already?  I really think I can give this a pass with a clear conscience...

This, however, is $20 at importCD:

  $1.25 a disc? That's pretty "super-duper" cheap.  I was unable to resist...
It's all good...

Jeje, it's nice to know there is at least one other categorical Box Freak on the premises.  I know I will need Haitink's Mahler #9, but fortunately I can purchase that separately.  Otherwise, your reasoning is mine, with no deprecation meant towards the maestro.
Late thanks btw for your generous description of the huge DG/Sony Giulini set over in the Purchases thread.  That is useful!
