Just bought the 25 + 1 Liszt Master/Magician Sony box at importcds for $18 shipped. They shipped it the day after I ordered. Pretty good price I think.

Ordered! Thank you very much for that tip. I've been eyeing this box because Tchaikovsky is so great, it's a shame to just have a collection of the "usual suspects" and not know his full range.

The lone Amazon reviewer mentions defective discs, though. Keep us posted as to your findings, if you would be so kind. :)

Yes, I agree. Many of the BC boxes are such an excellent opportunity to explore peripheral works as well as to get a "full" (or at least "better") perspective of the composer.  You made me crack up with "usual suspects"; it is so true for Tchaikovsky (in particular)!   :D
