I'll be starting the new year with a new teacher.

The list of music is challenging - Schumann's Scenes from Chilhood plus Album for the Young.

Classics to Modern vol. 37

Chopins Complete Mazurkas - Paderewiski.  I looked at this music and nearly fainted. It's too difficult for me at this stage of the game.  So I'll wait till I see her.  I've been taking lessons for about six years.  Maybe one day.  Mazurkas aren't easy to dance to either.

She mentioned that Prokofiev wrote something called Children's Waltzes, but wasn't sure of the title.  Do you know the name of this music book?  He's one of my favorite composers but my guess difficult to play.  Wonder if he wrote these waltzes for children to play.

Thanks for your input. :)

Your professor might mean the Music for Children Opus 65 of Prokofiev.

Thanks Cato, I'll take a look and hope that it's written for children to play. :)
