My local classical station is playing assorted prerecorded programs for the holidays, so the usual crew can be home with their families. One musical selection featured an absolutely beautiful female voice singing "Holy Child of God" and which was identified as...I'm guessing here...Holly Stell. Might have been Holly Estelle. Or Hall Eastel. Or something that sorta sounds like this. This is what happens when you have a questionable pronunciation combined with road noise when listening in the car. It also doesn't help that I don't follow classical and crossover vocalists very well. So...

Does this ring any bells (sorry, there's a holiday pun...unintended, really) with anyone here? My wife and I both liked the voice AND the song, and it would be nice to track down for less harried listening.

Many thanks in advance and, of course, every happy holiday wish to everyone.

Cheers,

Dirk

Well, after Christmas duties were done for the evening, a few clicks onto Amazon revealed that there is, in fact, a Holly Stell. A teenager, it seems, with an impressive voice and at least two CDs, one an all-Christmas one. However, reviews of her work are rather scarce. So I modify my request: has anyone heard more than one track by this lovely-sounding youngster?

Happy holidays,

Dirk
