If banished to a desert island, would you bring all piano or all orchestral recordings?

Piano
Orchestral

George

Hypothetical time:

Because of your mistreatment of your fellow man on an unnamed internet forum, you have been banished to a desert island.

Luckily, you have a loving God, who has approved for you to bring all of your piano recordings with you (any with Piano), OR all of your orchestral recordings. (No piano concerto recordings for orchestral choice.)

If you should decide that you can't choose, you will instead drown at sea.

Happy choosing!  >:D

ChamberNut

I chose orchestral, but I'd chose chamber music (strings) if a 3rd choice had been available.

Somehow I am not surprised.  ;D

I choose orchestral, no questions asked. Does that make me a bad person?

can I bring  A Piano ?  ;D

No, just recordings. You should have thought about that before you berated your fellow man.  $:)

I don't follow your logic.

Makes sense, otherwise orchestral people might have wanted to bring orchestras with them  :P

Piano, of course. PC Tuttis are enough to get me going as far as orchestral music goes

Yeah, we shouldn't expect those bass players to swim very far anyway.  ;D

Now, if the choice were bringing a piano vs. bringing a baton...

Wanderer

By allowing non-solo piano recordings you made this a much easier choice.

On the contrary: A double bass would probably make a great raft. ;D

I'd leave the recordings at home and take my scores. 8)

I mostly listen to orchestral music, and I find the most stimulating/exciting. But on a desert island I would probably go for more soothing/relaxing music like piano or some Bach cantatas.

Yes.  Since I'm a very good boy, I choose piano (although I would have preferred "keyboard").
