Has anybody read that book?
I'm going to pick up the only one issue of it in LA tomorrow, from the library though. Can't wait. :D I know that Nilsson was a really nice person, suffering all Corelli's efforts to cry her over.
By the way, any other books somebody can recommend? I know that Vishnevskaya's book is full of gossips and lies, extracts from Gedda's memoirs puzzled me as being very negative and not tolerant to his co-workers, and others I simply don't know or can't remember by now.

Caballé's memoirs are worth reading. One understands the extension of her repertoire (and fondness of the German language) when reading about her extensive "apprenticeship" years in Germany.

I picked up the book today and now enjoy reading it, Nilsson was a tremendously humorous person, and just nice to everybody...I don't even know what else to say...she was just cool!!  8) A grand singer and a wonderful person.

Sarastro, you may have seen this already, but I just found it on Alex Ross's blog yesterday.  It's a remembrance of Nilsson by Astrid Varnay from 2006, and is quite good.

Wonderfully touching and honest memento!

I'd certainly love to read Nilsson's memoirs. If I can find it, that is  :P.

Try in the library, they MUST ;D have it. Or somewhere in the Internet, it was actually translated not long ago. There is said that three times it has been converted in English but each time Nilsson herself refused to determine it, the fourth one was lucky, she loved it. Others are in German and Swedish only.  :(
