Non-classical MP3 download sites

Now, I'd like to hear your experiences/thoughts about sites for downloading non-classical MP-3s. Unfortunately, Amazon MP-3s are not available for download in Canada    and the few sites I've browsed all seem to want a monthly payment. We really don't want to get stuck into monthly payments, but would much rather just pay as we go. My wife is interested mainly in musicals, movie soundtracks, 80s rock / pop, and some current stuff like Norah Jones and Chris Botti (zzzzzzzz).
