Does anyone happen to know whether this series of classical music works is still being sold, and whether it is a good collection or not?

i think they are all OOP. But whatever I have from this series is excellent (except the cover really sucks).

Many of them are still available for order. I recently ordered Munch's Fantastique, for instance.

Many are available under other disguises from RCA, like the Munch Fantasque you have. But I think the whole series with that kind of packaging (stupid red on white) are very hard to find.

Why? It has been reissued in very well remastered sound.
(Which goes for quite a few in that old series btw).

At least the one I ordered still has that stupid design on it. I wish it was different. Maybe it was a leftover or a trade-in. I don't know.

I have quite a few of them...in the bad cover, like a Daphnis and Chloe and the Mozart Flute and Harp concerto. You would think with a conver like that they would be selling for $6 when they were in print, but no - RCA wanted like $12. I remember seeing these at Towerrecords about 10-12 years ago and I said to myself: what the heck is this ???

Of course it's well remastered. In fact it's in SACD.
"Good", is NOT good enough, when "better" is expected
