No one can call Trudeau a lightweight after this.  A bruising middleweight, maybe, but certainly no lightweight.

Djokovic won the french open over Murray.  His tennis was not spectacular, just a little more effective than Murray's.  At the end he drew a big heart with his tennis racket on the clay.  Nice touch.

Spain is holding a new general election today. The previous election, in December 2015, resulted in a parliamentary stalement that prevented the fromation of a government. The election was won by the incumbent centre-right Partido Popular, but without sufficient seats to reach a majority and with all other parties having rejected any sort of agreement with them. The second party, the Socialists, tried to form a government with a newcomer, rightist Ciudadanos, but again a majority wasn't achieved. And the rising radical-left, anti-system party Podemos achieved a strong result.

If anything, the result of today's election is expected to be more polarized, and the radical Podemos (which now runs in alliance with the communists of Izquierda Unida) might overtake the Socialists as the second force in parliament.

The timeline for 2016 now looks something like this  ???:

- June 24: Brexit wins referendum  >:(
- June 26: Government in Spain with Podemos (in one way or another)  >:D
- November 8: Donald Trump elected president of the US  >:( >:D
- Year end: Zombie Apocalypse

Doomsday didnt propagate to Spain !! Maybe the sad state of the british affairs, opened spaniard eyes.  There is still a threat of Catalonya secession, but with PP strength Spain integrity may stabilize as well.

Veit Bach-a baker who found his greatest pleasure in a little cittern which he took with him even into the mill and played while the grinding was going on. In this way he had a chance to have the rhythm drilled into him. And this was the beginning of a musical inclination in his descendants. JS Bach

Your Starbucks habit could soon cost you more.

Since I never buy from Starbucks (not really convenient for a lunchtime coffee, and don't need them elsewhere.  And I don't like how their coffee tastes, anyway.),  won't cost me more!

I learnt early on that I like the way their wares smell, better than the taste.  (Twice the reason to get my coffee elsewhere  ;) )
