Agree. If the music does not fit, we must acquit. ;)

(laughing) You said it!

Who voted for Pet Sounds? That is a perfect pop album.

Shocking!

Okay I went too far, that was beyond the pale of corny.

For elemination (the two first were easy):

Born to Run (Springsteen is redneck-music; even if some songs are OK)
Sun sessions (I'm not a big fan of pre-Beatles rock music)
Highway 61 Revisited (for me some of the songs from this album are just played too much - like "Blowin in the Wind", I definately prefer other Dylan albums)
"One good thing about music, when it hits- you feel no pain" Bob Marley

Gasp!!  Who voted for Pet Sounds?   :o :o  How dare they!  0:)

Beautiful album

Well, there are four albums on the list that are not on my iPod -- Thriller, Nevermind, What's Going On, and (next turn's vote) Born to Run...

It's certainly a good list, though as noted it has a huge 60s bias.  The only 2 great albums from the 80s were Thriller & London Calling?  The ONLY great album from the last 20 years is from Nirvana?  Please...
The man that hath no music in himself,
Nor is not moved with concord of sweet sounds,
Is fit for treasons, stratagems, and spoils.
The motions of his spirit are dull as night,
And his affections dark as Erebus.
Let no such man be trusted.

-- William Shakespeare, The Merchant of Venice

Oops, suddenly I saw "Exile on Main Street" on the list. That one is easy as well. This is the only classic Rolling Stones album I have never warmed up to. I don't like the dense production, and I hardly can remember any tunes from the album.
