Or Chennai, India.  :)

or Houston (I know of alot of South Indians who come specifically here for the climate as opposed to the Northeast)

Its actually been very mild here - highs in the mid 80s, relatively low humidity

You mean hot, right, man I would melt there, give me Siberia any time.
I am a cold addict!

Is that a Dutch characteristic? When I visited Amsterdam about 20 years ago in January, people ran air-conditioners, kept shop doors open, and I had to ask my hotel to turn on the heat. ("That is why you have another blanket, sir.") I like warmth!

A characteristic from the Northern part of the Netherlands yes.
Air conditioners were a rare occasion 20 years ago, at least in the North, and they are still rather.
You must know that there is a huge difference between the North and the rest of the Netherlands.
Cultural and in mentality we are vastly different from them, and proud on that too, after all they live on our riches, GAS.

Well, it's not even summer yet and we are on the 3rd heatwave of the year! It says it's currently 33°C at 8:30 pm. I hate it, but in the past I would be suffering from massive headaches now, instead im just  aware of it. Tomorrow should be another hot one..Then next week its supposed to be nice again. I hope it won't be like this all summer.
