Disgustingly warm today, has been all week. Last night there was a rain storm (boom! BOOM!), but now it's back to form: like the surface of Mercury.

Any other miserable heat-haters? :'(

P.S.: OMG GLOBALWARMING ALERT!!!11 :P When England becomes "pleasantly" hot enough for people to consider a visit, something has seriously gone wrong with the environment.

Right here. Going to Cambridge for the day and in spite of how much I love the place I am not looking forward to it. Was there in February, bright sunny day, cool temperature, absolutely perfect. Today will be tough  ::)

PS -- pints + football ;)

Harry

Well, the weather has been hot in the Netherlands for almost 2 weeks now, and until Tuesday it will be around 25 degrees. I like cool weather, about 18-20 degrees would be enough with some sun, and a SE breeze, but the current weather in my country doesn't make me happy at all.

I hate the heat also. It's not even summer, and we've had 2 heatwaves already this year pushing the temps into the middle 30s. I get serious headaches when it's to hot and I don't feel like doing much. Of course the skies of baja have looked like those of northern france this year, overcast almost every day. It's not so bad, right now its a cool morning? geez I'd better get back to bed. Currently 15.

I'm currently in the middle of the desert, low '90s Fahrenheit.

It's a dry heat.  8)

Kullervo

90º F here, overcast and humid. My least favorite weather. All the heat of a sunny day without the beauty, and all the gloom of a rainy day without the mild temperatures.  :(

I agree! This heat is very unpleasant and unbecoming of the UK.  I am in London and I can assure you that this weather does not suit the city  :(.

PS: If it's 28 degrees Celsius in early May  :o I fear what the weather be like in mid-July  :(.

I'm certainly not a fan of the heat, that's why I moved north! Also got a nice sea breeze where I'm living now...

I wouldn't be too concerned with the temperatures now, it was a bit of a scorcher last year in April and I remember fearing the worst, but the summer heatwave never materialised...
Yes, we have no bananas

Harry

Finally a NE somewhat cool wind is blowing now, and the temperature is dropping slowly to 17 degrees on coming Saturday. Tomorrow there will be lots of rain.......

Only 90F? That's pleasant. It's almost 9 P.M and the temperature is just a couple of degrees less. During the day it's around the 40s (Celcius).

Actually, this late afternoon/early evening, it became all cloudy, and weather's quite comfortable now compared to previous nights.

(poco) Sforzando

Pleasantly warm in the New York region today, about 75º F and sunny.
"I don't know what sforzando means, though it clearly means something."

I am more suited as a Bojar my friend, deeply shrouded in bear skins. ;D

I also severely dislike heat.

And I've lived in Greece for most of my life so far, so you can imagine the jollity of having 40 degrees Celsius in mid-July. ::)

Thankfully, I will soon amend that. But if it's starting to heat up in the north as well, then I might have to go for this! :o

I was seriously toying with the idea of moving to Canada during the last particularly nasty summer a few years ago. I concluded that it was a bad idea all-round, but it was tempting.
