Ok, now THIS will weed out the real freaks lurking in the forum :)

Here we go  :D
Defenders of the Faith for me. I remember it had quite good songs in it, but have not listened to it  in the last 15 years or so. Great cover too  :D

It has been way too long since I heard Green Manalishi.  Unleashed in the East is a great record

No wrath from me.  I consider Judas Priest a major step up from Black Sabbath.  I've even kept a couple of their albums for old-times sake.

I voted Stained Class (first to immediately impact on me and I consider it the first true heavy metal album - sans almost any rockish elements), Unleashed in the East (incredible versions) and Screaming for Vengeance (which is a little more patchy than a few others, but sentimentally, I like even the inferior songs). I never really got into Painkiller, which feels a little dry and clinical to me, despite being spectacular.

Screaming is hard to argue with.

I think all three after Rocka Rolla are like a Triumverate of Power, and I really love Defenders of the Faith as well.

Agree Screaming and then Defenders.  But Screaming by far.

Did you just contradict your earlier post? :)

These entries are hard to argue with. "Freewheel Burnin'", "The Sentinel", "Love Bites". Great music.

I hear their new CD will be a concept album based on Nostradamus.

The last one had a couple of really powerful songs on it.

You know, there were even a couple of cool tunes off of that "Jugulator" album, if I remember correctly. Too bad they were going so hard for a Pantera sound back then. Priest will always be better than even great bands like Pantera. I realize they were attempting to acclimate themselves to the times.

It's not my favorite genre, but if I had to pick one metal band, it would be JP.

Can't go wrong with them as a top pick in Metal. I remember growing up and buying up all their stuff on vinyl and cassettes. Man I wish I had what I had then! Ultimate vinyl!
