Thanks, too bad there's now clips..

Really?  :( I didn't check on that.

Try www.epitonic.com and look for Stars of the Lid under the 'ambient" category.  I think Pauline Oliveros will be under that category as well.

WHich 6? Ring = 4, plus Tristan that's 5. You want to leave out Meistersinger or Parsifal?

Lohengrin! Tannhauser! Flying Dutchman!

Buying CDs is great for boredom. I suggest buying the two in my signature.  0:)

Brilliant! George, I hope your new job opportunity is in sales!  :)

It has been "relaxing" to be away from classical music this year. Yeah, I still listen to classical music time to time but not much. I have really been into other kind of music (Tangerine Dream, old school breakbeat, rock, etc.) I am trying to become interested of classical music again as I was frustrated of "all the choices". I need to concentrate. Less is definitely more in classical music. The less I listen to it the more I enjoy it. I want classical music be something special for me like it was 11 years ago. I liked the exciting feeling when I bought my first Buxtehude CD.

Spatial distortion is a serious problem deteriorating headphone listening.
Crossfeeders reduce spatial distortion and make the sound more natural
and less tiresome in headphone listening.

Sounds like the typical complaint of someone who listens to too much Elgar.

Sounds like the typical insult of someone who does not listen to Elgar enough.

Absolutely not true, you are old when you think old, and that should not be the case my friend.
Its all between your ears! :)

With all the poppy music you buy and listen, Elgar will be pretty much off your radar too, no? :)

Sounds like the complaint of someone who just told us, in effect, the less Elgar the better.  I'm just following your advice, and spending less time listening to Elgar and more time listening to things that are "special" no matter how many times I listen.   ::)

Lets call it a day fellows, before we get spontaneous combustion. :)

Well, Poju, it could well have been a very bad idea to pull this thread out of the ashes. I just can't see my way clear to let this whole thing occur all over again, so I'm locking it. You, or anyone else, who is frustrated and/or bored with GMG are going to have to look elsewhere to get out of your funk.
