Well I can say the same when I am looking at American shows! ;D
Need subtitles too, while British ones are perfectly understandable for me.

Yeah but a comedy about an astrophysicist in australia just wouldn't fly here in the states  :) They actually made 12 whole episodes on it across the pond :o :o :o :o :o :o

For me there are three that tower above all the others: Six Feet Under, Simpsons and the (english) Office. Also great: Sopranos, Fawlty Towers, Family Guy, Sex and the City, Peep Show and I'm sure loads of others...
