I was just joking. Sorry.

I understand your humour not really. But I have not really tried to understand it. I read it and read it, but never "study" it, well I think that once I will start to understand.
Henk, much of Karl's humor depends on cultural allusions and wordplay that would go over the heads of most American-born native English speakers of average intelligence and education, so no one would expect you to understand it any more than we would expect Karl to get your subtle jokes in Dutch.  No worries.

I think he may still be in Boston, but I haven't run into him in a looong time.

karlhenning

I may need a bigger boat.

MN Dave

I know a black belt ninja in Boston. Just sayin'...

karlhenning

Good to know if I read lots of books again and sink into depression . . . .

MN Dave

Yeah, that can only lead to telling dumb jokes.

And you can tell us stories about the good old cmg days where you were stuck out in the waters surrounded by hungry sharks... and when you're done with a story M Forever will suddenly pop back up and eat you! ;D

Intentionally?  ;)

I have a hard time figuring out a lot people... but my buddy, super hot Polish girl that works with me is hard in the sense that I look at aspects of her life and mix them together, and they make what appears to me to be the most miserable existence possible. Combine these:

1. Works almost full time at Lowes (the worst aspect).
2. No car. No license (her parents or aunt/whatever have to pick her up).
3. No citizenship (and with what you have to go through to get one, it'll probably never happen).
4. Addicted to smoking.
5. Single mother.
6. No boyfriend (as far as I know).
7. (probably) No computer/internet (no facebook etc.). (3rd worst thing on the list, maybe?)

I'll have to ask one of these days what she does in her free time because with that combination, I don't see how any human being could possibly be happy- yet, she's constantly smiling and laughing... so much, that I wonder wtf she is always laughing at. But I wouldn't tell her what I think about this because she is very cool and that would just make her feel bad.

Probably the only person with a worse situation (that has come out of it now) is my friend who was working while being homeless at the same time. He couldn't afford a place because his money was going to child support after a divorce 5 years ago, and on top of that, his mom died. Actually, he's the type to smile all the time, too.

It would be nice to have more of their happy chemicals in my brain...

;D When I look up somebody interesting I've met on Facebook and find they have no entry I tend to figure that they are one of those mythical beasts: an attractive, successful, talented person who has better things to do than use the internet.

It's really hard to come to terms with how much better than me some people are :P

But on this site, if we are all in that Internet gutter, we are nevertheless looking at the stars.

Ramarkable shot. Amazing to see the eye at that angle.

Indeed. Ever since seeing that image, I have wanted it as my avatar, but it will appear very small given the forum's size limits.

Cats are very good subjects for photography. And I suppose they are even better if they are a pet, when you can approach them and get shots up-close.

As a pet, at least you know that you have some kind of investment in the thing mauling your arm.

The TV news today has been mind-boggling.

The media has been bitching about snow for a week now, and today, we discover that a dozen British inhabitants have been arrested on suspicion of planning mass murder, and what do we have as a news headline? 15 minutes of f*cking snow again. OH GOD DID THE LORRY JACKKNIFE? ON THE ROAD? TELL ME MORE ABOUT THIS THRILLING "TRAVEL CHAOS" :-X

Sure, it's important, but the weight they give to the event is a perfect example of non-existent standards of reporting. Why do difficult research when you can just step outside and start bitching live on camera.
