Seinfeld lied to me! I was under the impression that Florida was all retired people :)
Depends on the area. The area where I live is simply an area where old rednecks go to retire and die, though it does have a few small areas with lower-income housing (where a lot of black people live).
The actual city of Orlando, seemed like it just had a lot of middle-aged white or black people when I was walking around (businessmen, I suppose?). I don't go there much, though, but I think the actual people who live there are quite diverse in the Orlando-Kissimmee area.

About this time of year, the population here pretty much doubles because of the people from up north... I'm sure there are more areas, probably around the beach, with lots of retired people.

One of my best friends is from Florida. He reads GMG, so let's all say nice things about him. What a cool guy!

I try not to read the bible because of things like this, but I ran into this passage earlier and got feelings of deja-vu. Add into the middle of it "You were waylaid by bandits and lost 4 hit-points" and it could be the travel log from a MUD RPG.

Mount Hor was a total letdown, so they went back to Marah.

Speaking of old people in Florida, I actually looked it up:

http://www.businessinsider.com/cities-with-the-most-old-people-2010-10#1-punta-gorda-fla-14

The top 6 cities in the US with the highest percentage of old people are in Florida. The only city I know of, though, is #5 (Ocala). Ocala is only an hour away from where I live, though I haven't visited there yet. I'm surprised The Villages wasn't listed there (40 minutes away from where I live), because every house has to be occupied by at least one person who is at least 55 (it's a retirement community).

The #1 entry, Punta Gorda, Fl., has a percentage of 30.5% for senior citizens. I see hundreds of people a day, and would have to say that the city where I live easily has just as high of a percentage.

Out of the entire world, though, I bet Okinawa has the highest percentage of old people... just seems like there isn't any info to confirm this, though.

Yeah, that's what I'd have done too. Marah, after all, is where things were really buzzing (for those in the know).

I was trying to figure out the number of 5-note musical scales possible.
Is this correct?

C 12, 5       12!/5!7! = 792 scales

It is, if the order of the notes is irrelevant. Otherwise it's 12P5 (a permutation): a lot more!

Disclaimer: I don't know the exact definition of a musical scale.
