Once again the International Keyboard Institute & Festival will be at Mannes College of Music in New York (July 13-27, 2008) with quite an interesting assortment of pianists.  There are some 25 concerts, with even more master classes and other events.  I am already going to hear Philippe Entremont (where has he been?) and Marc-AndrĂ© Hamelin's recitals, perhaps some others.

One of the pluses is the size of the Mannes recital hall, which only seats about 200 people, so it's very intimate.  Personally I wish there were more contemporary works on the programs, but in any case, it's a very dense festival with a lot of events.  Anyone who likes piano may want to investigate.

Hamelin, eh? That's one pied piper I'd pay to hear. When is he on?
"I don't know what sforzando means, though it clearly means something."

He's playing Saturday, July 26 at 8:30.  Program:

Mozart: Sonata in A minor, K. 310
Chopin: Two Nocturnes, Op. 27
Scriabin: Sonata No. 7, Op. 64
Ives: Concord Sonata

The whole program is interesting, but I don't recall ever hearing this particular Scriabin live by anyone, so that will be a treat.
