The trouble with lists like this is that I feel obliged to hear them otherwise I'll feel left out.

However, I have heard one, the Schmidt, and wouldn't swap it for Welser-Most!

I'd like to listen to that Purcell/Crumb disc, only what doofus cover art.

Yeah, doofus. Or genius. ;)

Okay. Doofus.  :P

I have been out of the market, so to speak, since I moved from the States. So I have not paid attention to new releases since I am not planning to go through the trouble to get them anyway. But I am slowly moving back in. The only disc from the list that interests me is the Chen Yi CD, since I have heard a few of her works and they have all been excellent. Yet I have nothing in my collection.

I think Koh and Uchida (no, not that Uchida) are very good, based on the Schumann disc I own.

I've not heard any of the recordings listed, but I'm interested in hearing the Schmidt.

It's worth it. I don't know that I'll be throwing away my copy of Fabio Luisi's Das Buch, but Järvi's set is nice in its way, too. I am still on my quest to acquire both Harnoncourt's and Mitropoulos' sets, for comparison's sake. As it stands now, however, Järvi is a solid contender.

I've not heard any, and though I'd be interested in hearing some, at least, I'm not likely to purchase any unheard.
