I am so sorry to hear this sad news.  Words are insufficient at these times but please know that I am thinking of you both.

Jeffrey

And thus say I.

Harry - please accept my heart felt condolences -  :'(

Thank you Dave! How odd, one gone, three to go, I am totally screwed up I think.
Thinking like that?
It is good to know that we can share these difficult situations. That makes GMG so great.

Singing a Psalm for you, Harry.

That is a great comfort Karl, thank you.

Tapio Dmitriyevich

Mein Beileid, Harry. My listening choice for the evening will be Fauré's Requiem then.

Mozartsneighbor - sorry to hear about your loss. 43 is far too young.

I know great music can be a great healer. Not to mention - having good people around. In my opinion good people are God in action.
Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything. -- Plato

That is so kind of you.

Not only altruism, as you may guess :) I love it since it's not as hard as others and has dawn and sun in the end, sooo lovely. My recommendation for times like yours.

Oh, many know the dillemma, as meantioned before, between  "death after long pain - but intensely saying goodbye" and "sudden death, no suffer - but no goodbye". The hard truth is, we know it: It is at it is, we have no choice. Some call this "God". I hope, but do not believe in. I hope there isn't only the big nothing after death - but don't believe in.

Am listening to Bax's "Christmas Eve in the Mountains" one of the most beautiful and moving/redemptive works I know and thinking of you Harry and Mozart's Neighbour
"Courage is going from failure to failure without losing enthusiasm" (Churchill).

'The test of a work of art is, in the end, our affection for it, not our ability to explain why it is good' (Stanley Kubrick).

Harry and Mozart's neighbor,

My heart goes out to both of you.  When I have a heavy load as both of you do, I walk in the forest.  Nature puts balm on the wound.

Take care, both of you,

Anne

Tomorrow I will bury my aunt, she died two days ago.
I have buried 5 people this year, four of them very young.
It was a hard task, and it took its toll on me, obviously.
At the grave of every one of them, I clearly read all the names of the people that send prayers and good wishes.
These wishes restored some of my lost trust in people.
I thank you all that have been a real help to me
I remember all of you in my prayers.

Five in one year - I am at a loss for words. Depressing. I wish you all the strength you need.
