That's one of the excerpts on the CD yes.  And you are right Stuart.  I'm just saying that the CD I'm listening to has those helicopters on the cover. :)

Cool LP cover but I have never seen this recording released on CD (with the same cover) ...

That's a great suite of the orchestral music - arranged by Maazel himself, if I recall. Some of the "famous bits" are truncated so that there would be room for everything else, but I found it a thrilling ride. I listened to it on the night Hurricane Ike struck, at about 2am, while I watched the rain pouring and the windows flexing in the gale-force winds. There's something very Wagnerian about a front-row seat to a major hurricane. 8)

I have a live Maazel recording from just a few years ago - in concert, broadcast on the Internet, 1 track that's about 66 minutes long.

I think my favorite Ring highlights discs are Solti's and Runnicles'. I heard a couple of Tennstedt selections on a London Philharmonic Live disc, and they were terrific; makes me want to check out that CD, too.
