O, dear, its one of the finest recordings around Neal, how is it possible you do not have it.? ;D
I spent too much time trying to figure out which Saint-Saens complete violin concerto set and ran out of time I guess!  :-[

Be kind to your fellow posters!!

Harry, you mean.....you don't look like Tchaikovsky?    :'(  At least you should have a beard, mon ami.  :D

Due to a skin irritation I had to remove my beard, much longer as that of Tchaikovsky, so I figured that I did no longer had the freedom of using the avatar of him.
But I agree that I should at least have a beard.

Tchaikovsky

Complete string quartets, and String Sextet 'Souvenir de Florence'

Borodin String Quartet
Genrikh Talalyan - viola II
Mstislav Rostropovich - cello II

Chandos

Hm, I think I may have that recording of the Souvenir de Florence, only on a different label.  Or, that line-up may well have recorded it more than once.

My Tchaikovsky SQs/Sextet set arrived the other day...

You must have your daily Bachfast.  Most important meal of the day.   :)

Which set, David for the Tchaikovsky?

Yeah Chandos vs Teldec, do you have the latter? :)

Ah, I see.  Well, Harry, you just shaved 'literally' about 10 years off your age.  You look younger now.

Yes that's what the girls keep saying, so it must be true. ;D

That looks very nice, indeed David.

I'm very happy with the Borodin Chandos Historical set.  The performances are outstanding, and in particular, the Souvenir de Florence is smoking hot.

Uh oh, here come the self-righteous police.  Tell you what Corey, if I'm the first poster on GMG to ever make a rude, crass and tasteless comment, I will gladly leave this forum and never return.

Happy now?

No one's asking you to leave the forum — certainly not me. The comment simply surprised me coming from you, as you seem to be normally polite and friendly. Let's keep it that way, shall we?

Anyway, listened to:
