Good evening, yes it is. It's a 2 CD set.

What a bummer?  I have most of Maria Tipo's EMI CD recordings in their original "jacket" except this one ...    :(

Some affordable used copies here - http://www.amazon.com/Maria-Tipo-Chopin-Nocturnes-Fryderyk/dp/B000002RU4/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1264731027&sr=8-2

The new copy is one of those overpriced archiv CD-Rs.  ::)

I almost grabbed that set recently, but it wasn't cheap enough. I also wished that they boxed it with his Concerto recoridings with Klemperer.

From this fantastic project CD I.

That looks interesting Harry.

Now for me:

UB

Sid Robinovitch - Suite for Klezmer Band & orchestra. A suite of music that runs from great fun to reflective. I am not a big fan of Klezmer music but the use of the band and orchestra together really works for me.
I am not in the entertainment business. Harrison Birtwistle 2010

VIVALDI:        Motets                              / Berganza, ECO, Ros-Marbá

This works could be scenes of operas. They require an incredible vocal virtuosity. Berganza is perhaps not perfect, but the beauty of the voice is delightful.

Yes, I thought you would want to do that right away!  :D :D

Seriousy, though, if I'm able to attend any of this exciting series, I'll be glad to report on GMG. I've had attended several Jordi Savall events at the Met Museum and his work is always mesmerizing.

Some how I expected more of this set, as it is, Gergiev is easily outclassed by many a competitor.
So how do you like them George?
