I don't get out there as often as I used to, but next time we've got to get together, even if only to cross the river and make snide remarks about cheeseheads.

Only if Bruce comes with...

Inspired by Sara's example:

Time to see if I can yet gain a handle on this beastly work.

I decided to revisit this:

Борис Иванович [ Boris Ivanovich (Tishchenko) ]
Cello Concerto № 1 (orchestrated Дмитри Дмитриевич [ Dmitri Dmitriyevich (Shostakovich) ])
Александр Васильевич [ Aleksandr Vasilyevich (Ivashkin) ], vc
Russian State Symphony
Валерий Кузьмич [ Valary Kuzmich (Polyansky) ]

. . . which, offhand, may well be the only Tishchenko piece I've heard. Ivashkin plays his heart out, and it's a wonderfully intense piece.

Ok, but then thank me that I initiated it, Karl. Instead I get rather reactions and am hated because I'm out-of-topic again.

No one hates you, Henk.  And we'd have fun, anyway.  Not that we aren't grateful for your initiation.  And you're always welcome to take part in the fun.

Well, I take some risks of being kick out from the forum by the Mods. Surely when it gets so much response. It's me who disturbs the thread and can be blamed for it. That's the way the Mods and other members can argument at least.

BTW, I am thinking of this Tishchenko work as the concerto Pettersson wished he might have written ; )

Just to remind myself why my picks are so darn good...

Woah, that Tishchenko Cello Concerto must be a million times better than what I have heard from him so far - I'll keep an eye out for it.

Could be!  In all events, I cannot imagine that Shostakovich would have bothered to rescore the piece, if he thought at all ill of it.

Dude, I'm an almost complete raging dick, and I've not been booted. So man up, and quite acting like a pussy. No one cares that much.

The mods are unpredictable, I possibly have lost much credits, and policy is weak.

That, my friend, is either absurd, or paranoid, or perhaps a little of both.

Well, if you consider my added arguments to it, it sounds reasonable.

Henk, the mods here are pretty predictable and allow plenty of latitude and the policy is rather clear--see: http://www.good-music-guide.com/community/index.php/topic,5.0.html  I doubt you've lost any credit and suspect that it's pretty darned clear to everyone here that you're not ill-intentioned.  We're all here to have fun and to share our love for good music and you're as welcome as anyone!

He could moderate.  ;D
As long as he's not too unpredictable and weak.   ;)

Yes, I almost fell out of my chair.  (But not before replacing my entire CD collection with Buxtehude recordings.)
