Brünnhilde forever

We had this topic in the old GMG, let's try it here. I post the picture, you guess what opera!

I vote for Verdi's Macbeth (not really having a clue  ;D).

Richard's last forum name has something in common with the composer. Now that's big clue! ;D

Sarastro

No clue. >:(
There are so many eurotrash productions having nothing to do with the opera plot; I'd be embarrassed to post some of them, but here is quite an innocent example, although a little schizophrenic.
What opera?

Otello? Iago lurking in the back with a chair behind Otello - what for, don't ask me! - Desdemona with Cassio in the front?

Sarastro

By the way, we need more hints for your image. ;D

Sarastro, Talse of Hoffmam?

Of course you know by now my photo is from a Wagner opera.

Next clue: It's about two people in love!  :P

Lis, that's a Tristan?!  :o  Never would have arrived at that one...

Super guess, Luv! Is there a Wagner opera NOT about two people in love? Can't think of one right now, very early in the morning!

The line-up: Brangaene, Isolde, Kurwenal, Tristan, Melot.

And that is at this year's Bayreuth Festival! I have read the review of all seven operas and can assure you, you didn't miss a thing! Even Thielemann flopped - at least in the opinion of the reviewer.

They look like they're standing in a department store--not that one can't find love in a department store, of course, but... ;D

Third floor:  Resentments, petty jealousies, general bitchiness, self-pity accessories.

I should have taken it for Pelléas . . . .

Want to try one more? The clue is already in the photo.

The one with the wedding.  Parsifal?

Yes, that was my first guess, too.  (Second choice: Meistersinger.)
