i think i finally got a job.
Did an interview for Lowe's today at 11, they said all they are waiting for are the results of the drug test (which is of course nothing to worry about) and i can go into orientation, which is basically working with pay. Also had an interview at 1 for Target, it was short so the guy just talked to me for a bit. Most likely i'll just be working at Lowe's though..... just like last time, about 10 months ago when i went for months without a call back and then got two jobs at the same time.

Make sure they give you plenty of smoke breaks.

Most threads, regardless of topic, will eventually end up being about poop or boobies.

greg

(but hopefully not at the same time)

greg

ok, let's change the subject.

Boobies. They're great, aren't they?

greg

Especially when they move around when a girl moves around.... like they have a life of their own. Maybe they do? Or maybe it's physics? What do you think?

Gee, that's a fairly standard job interview question, P. F. Monk. Weren't you asked it?

My sister worked there once and it totally sucked.  Stressful, really, really long days.  Total crap.  You see they like to understaff their sections and just overwork their employees.  Well I hope that your experience proves to be better.

Interesting to hear that.... all i've heard so far is the opposite (just that it was nice to work there) so far. When I was waiting a couple of workers came in to do something and one starting talking to me asking about the interview/whatever and he mentioned that it's a nice place to work. Also, the second person who interviewed me said the same thing, he started off doing what i'm going to do and worked his way up ("you can only either work your way up, or work your way out").

I did notice the understaffing...... though at that moment it was a lot worse than normal. Only one cashier (they're hiring 4). It was a Monday afternoon, but still, only 1!  :o
