I watched all of Community this summer, and have to agree that it is indeed awesome!
Top three ways to find relief from the heat (not counting a/c):
1. a gentle breeze
2. a cold pop
3. shade
Top three ways to feel happy about returning home:
1. someone to happily greet you, even if it's just your pet dog
2. a package waiting at your door
3. walking out of the heat into the a/c
Top three things I like about my new cd player:
1. It loads and starts playing a cd in roughly 10 seconds instead of a minute
2. Can quickly program tracks
3. Can see all relevant info without turning on the tv

Excellent :)
Dan Harmon, the show's original creator, has been re-hired and will produce the fifth season. That should mean, I hope, better episodes than the somewhat disappointing fourth season. On the other hand, with Chevy Chase and Donald Glover gone, the show is going to have a different feel.

2. The first paintball episode
3. Troy turns 21
Community cast members
1. Donald Glover

3. Gillian Jacobs call me (and bring Alison)
Problems I have with Community
1. Chevy Chase's character is so consistently poorly written that I feel sorry for him because the writers so obviously didn't care to make him more than a cartoon "grumpy old man" villain
2. A lot of humor is built on references I don't get. Some episodes are parodies of movies I haven't seen, and I'm annoyed to miss half the jokes.
3. The show often has an uneasy relationship between making fun of cliches, and indulging in them.
Community episodes
1. A Fistfull of Paintballs (the spaghetti western/Sergio Leone parody)
2. Advanced Dungeons and Dragons
3. Critical Film Studies (the homage to My Dinner with Andre)
Community cast members

2. Danny Pudi (Abed)
3. Jim Rash (the Dean)
Problems I don't have with Community
1. Chevy Chase's character is so consistently evil I can't believe he was permitted to be in the group.....but I don't care ;)
2. A lot of humor is built on references I do get. Some episodes are parodies of movies I have seen, and I'm pleased I get the jokes.
3. The show often exploits cliches in a way that makes them fresh and humorous.

Do you listen to podcasts? Gillian Jacobs recently made a series of appearances on the improv podcast "Comedy Bang! Bang!" with comedian Paul F. Tompkins, who was impersonating Happy Days creator Garry Marshall. Over three or four episodes, "Gilly and Garry" fell in love, murdered Garry's wife, got married, and split up (all through improv). If you're interested I'll dig up the links.

That is a great scene.
One of my favorites (don't know if it's on youtube) is when Jeff attempts to get a group of German students to stop playing Fussball. After one of them goads Jeff into playing, and then humiliates him instantly, the German guy says, "I wish there was a word to describe the pleasure I feel viewing misfortune."

My favorite Community episodes are the fried chicken one (parody of Goodfellas), and the My Dinner with Andre parody. There are so many awesome episodes, but if I were to pick one last one... instead of the paintball ones I would choose the video game one because Abed gets to go crazy (his army of children are just hilarious) and Pierce gets to have some less jerky moments, which is refreshing because post-season 1 that was rare.
Out of those three it is the fried chicken one that is my favorite.

Descend, while three birds watch and the fourth flies."

For those who haven't yet discerned the full range of subtlety in this game, we should point out:
1. Brian's list is of three names that
definitely wouldn't be mistaken for Brian.
2. My list consists of three names drawn from a curiously shadowy netherworld of names that we might
think could be mistaken for Brian, but in fact probably wouldn't.
3. Whereas the Karl list really might be deceptive to the untrained eye.
You'll observe that there are three distinct categories here. They are my
favourite three categories, of course.
But even if we're not understood, hey, we gave it a good three shots; and better to go down in failure, having tried to dream up three names gloriously, than never to have dreamed them up at all.
Not to have tried, were the true failure.

Did you mean The Icicle Thief, not The Bicycle Thief? Just wondering, we awl make typos . . . .
I meant this film:
The Icicle Thief (Italian: Ladri di saponette) is a 1989 Italian comedy film directed by Maurizio Nichetti, named in imitation of Vittorio De Sica's classic Italian neorealist film, The Bicycle Thief (Italian: Ladri di biciclette). Some feel "The Icicle Thief" was created as a spoof of neorealism, which predominated Italian cinema after World War II. However, it is generally understood to go beyond this and to take a stand against commercialism as destructive towards art. The film won the Golden St. George at the 16th Moscow International Film Festival.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Icicle_Thief
The film has about 3 different threads, but one involves an Italian man who has extreme difficulty finding any sort of employment in the economic chaos following WWII, but finally lands a job in a chandelier factory. His wife tempts him to steal a chandelier for her, because she has always wanted a chandelier because they remind her of a collection of icicles. He succumbs to the temptation and steals a chandelier, putting it in the basket of his bicycle, with no covering over it, as he travels home after work. He is caught, of course, and loses his job as a result.

Ha! Never heard of those restaurants but the recipes sure look familiar: Chicken fried in lard is great but i rarely make it, oven roasting is just easier; vinegar coleslaw is one of my favorite salads; only that rice/tomato dip is really nowhere near djuvec (on which it is based on, according to wiki), which is far more complex rice/tomato/meat based ratatouille type of dish. My chicken soup is better than what theirs looks like though, way too much noodles and not enough meat (I use mainly necks, legs and wings) and vegetables (carrots, parsnip, parsley root).
Another interesting bit, I get few whole chicken from time to time from local farmer and I cut it in the exactly the same way they do.

Most interesting. I've known this style of chicken dinner my entire life (and when I was in high school, I was employed part time at the White House, working the fryers on weekends). I knew the folks who owned these restaurants were Serbian immigrants and their children. I've always wondered how authentic the recipes were. Most food brought to the US by immigrants (Italian, Chinese, etc) becomes "Americanized" (spaghetti and meat balls; chop suey :D ) The "hot sauce" (the tomato/rice dip as it's known in Barberton) may not be authentic, but damn, it's really good. Hope to try the real stuff someday. Thanks for commenting.
