:o :o :o

By this guy!!!

Can't see the titles on those spines. I wonder what style of music he likes?

Could be girly pop and boy bands  ;D

Maybe the entire collection of Britney spears and Avril Lavigne.

The question here is how many cds does one really need? With so many, what are the chances that you will listen to a disc twice?

Almost none, so asking yourself this question is of no use......
I have listen to my collection say thrice, and some more, but from now on I know with certainty, that some of them will never return in my player.
I stopped thinking about that, and keep on buying. that's my motto, Don't think, buy! ;D

You could easily open a CD superstore selling just your rejects Harry.

Yeah Rod, I thought about that too, but then I rather give them away, and bring pleasure into the homes and minds of other music lovers. :)

As I wrote in the thread "Purchases you are considering": "I don't consider, I just buy!"

Why not reverse your motto?

The answer will perforce vary according to the individual.  It would not be justice to Harry, if I answered for myself, and imposed my answers upon his listening/purchasing activities.

Funny this discussion, while there are people on the board that have collections far greater than mine....

Spot on, it is Bob Harris, broadcaster, disc jock and presenter of The Old Grey Whistle Test.  Now we know its one of the BBC's broadcasting rooms.  Mixing desk included  ;D

Probably thousands of Bob's hippy cds and not one classical album present  ;)

Closer inspection suggests that you are right but do I detect a 'Siegfried' boxed set? He probably bought it thinking it was a German Heavy Metal Group.

Greater in terms of quantity or quality?

I do the same, somehow it seems immoral to sell them.

5 bucks say its photoshopped
10 bucks say the guy has too much money to spend
50 bucks say the guy has no life

Harry still wins :)

  Ditto on the photoshopped
  Ditto on the man's wealth
and I'll wager 100 bucks the guy has no life

Only question now is: where do I collect??

Quality, not quantity.

Agreed, and the quality of Harry's collection does eclipse the absolute numbers.
