I have come to the conclusion that Agon is in fact one of my favorite Stravinsky works, it's just so......woah! 

An awesome work that's for sure. It's in my 'Top 10'.

The Three Pieces are arguably something of an idiosyncratic choice, but of course:  why not?

after that I had to go to iTunes to look through a list of compositions by Stravinsky I had recordings of to come up with a #10, which I think would be the Symphony in C, probably.

I must admit I am not familiar with the one North Star has recommended (but I trust his taste    ), but the recording by Simon Preston is simply outstanding, and is by far my favourite of the work (and I know quite a few  ).

The Hyperion recording, to my ears, seems sweeter and less sharp-edged, with the voices slightly less brought to the foreground. That said, the voices are also more in tune. The Preston recording is earthier and more Byzantine, somehow otherworldly in its severity. I am leaning towards it, but may need both. (These are all among my favourite Stravinsky works after all.)

I didn't find that recording on Hyperion much to my taste. But then again, I haven't found many recordings I particularly find definitive on Hyperion anyway.
