Real life attempting to imitate the dream...

I guess it could be considered comforting, in a way, that some people never grow up...

Though, of course, she hasn't logged in to DeviantArt in nearly 4 years and I can't find her anywhere else online. So I can't even tell her how I appreciate that she does the best cosplay of my favorite anime character.  :-X
I wouldn't suppose you'd have better luck trying to contact Yui herself? ;D
I have been putting off watching K-on! but I feel I might have to watch it soon :P

I have seen her... just a couple of glimpses, in my dreams. After trying in some way for nearly the last 5 or so years.  And feeling disappointed every time I wake up. lol :-X

It's one of those shows that I thought more highly of after I finished watching than while I was actually watching. It just doesn't go anywhere, so it can start to feel a bit tedious or boring at times, but the characters mainly are what stuck out. But still very enjoyable as a light comedy, as long as you just remember that the plot moves at a snail's pace (it actually moves, but VEEEERRYYY slowly).

Haha. Epics gotta be epic. I like slow paced events, too, guess I just gotta know when to expect it (or else I wouldn't have enjoyed DBZ).

For a series as short as K-on, how slow paced can it be?? Other 12 episode series I've seen are deep into the story by episode 3 or 4.....unless there really isn't much story at all and the story could essentially just be told in the length of a single movie.

Exactly.
Let's just say that the story has a target at the beginning, but 90% of the show isn't about the goal. It's about the day to day friendship and goofing off between the girls. I guess you could say it's a slice of life show with a concrete beginning and ending, which is something many shows in the genre lack.

Is it anything like Lucky Star then? ;D
And actually I agree in terms of having a concrete beginning and ending. I would have assumed that the writers of these shows would have noticed this too, but maybe not. Oh well.

I don't know when I will watch any more anime though. I tend to go through phases where I obsess over a few series and then spend a few months with my mind elsewhere.

For me rather pretty disturbing.

^Good stuff.

I love all that kind of thing, like forced perspective and multiplane cameras - and I know Chaplin was into the latter in a big way and had discussions about them with Disney. I think it's all cool.  8)
