There are still quite a few Lutoslawski works I don't know yet, but as it stands:

Concerto for Orchestra
Cello Concerto
Symphony no. 4
Musique funebre
Piano Sonata

Nice list. I should get to know the Cello Concerto better.

SymphonicAddict

Cello concerto
Musique funèbre
String quartet
Preludes and Fugue for 13 strings
Mi-Parti

Nice list. I shamefully still do not own a recording of the String Quartet. Any performance(s) you enjoy in particular that you can recommend?

So far, I only have this recording, which I enjoy a lot:

Wild work, full of incredible sonorities.

Thanks, SymphonicAddict. My buddy Karlo (North Star) has that recording and thoroughly enjoys it. I can't say I know any of Penderecki's SQs.

My pleasure. Those Penderecki's quartets are worthy, too. They share similar characteristics with the Lutoslawski's, especially the Nos. 2 & 3.
