Greetings.

A tempting new DG release; has anyone heard it?  Gramophone's rave review, and the mention of Zimerman's piano modifications is making me quite curious.

I haven't but there is a lukeworm recension of the CD.  You will probably have to use google translate.

The problem seems that Mr Zimermann decided to skip the pedal altogether, which is sort of a nonsense on Schubert.

It's very good if not revelatory. There was one sonata I liked better than the other but don't remember which now.

I liked it, but was not overwhelmed. The reviews I've read and heard (on Dutch public classical radio) so far were mixed.

Looks like UMG uploaded the content.  That bodes well for future, lesser recordings.
