I haven't gotten into streaming services. I would probably consider it if they offered lossless compression.

Some of them do, but it's generally the pricier option. Tidal is known for it. A bit of googling established there are a number of others, including Qobuz and the top tier at Deezer.

The FLAC format seems to be the one in use.

I guess I should consider it, then. My giant unlistened-to pile argues against it. But I still end up buying stuff despite the unlistened-to pile. The question is whether it would extinguish my buying habit and pay for itself.
