Do you think the seasonal Nutcracker issue is hurting Peter?  ;D

Too bad Beethoven can't vote:

"Händel is the greatest composer who ever lived.
I would bare my head and kneel at his grave"
-- L.v. Beethoven (1824)

I'd call my wife in again, but I fear she might take another from Mahler.  ;)

Well, he said pretty much the same or more about Cherubini.

As much as we all love your lovely wife, keep her out just for that reason!

All I know about Cherubini is that he wrote a Requiem that was performed at Beethoven's funeral. It's the only Requiem I have ever had the privilege to sing.

I was going bump him up today, but I'd just listened to Petrushka on my way to work, so Stravinsky won for today  ;D

Don

With Handel now gone, Monteverdi is the next casualty.

Handel 1 - 1 = ELIMINATED!

I am saving my future votes for the moment of elimination. It seems more fun, and one gets a sense of accomplishment.

The Emperor

Handel is dead!!! ;D

What happens when a composer is eliminated?
A game i saw in another forum, was everytime a composer was eliminated, the person who "kills" him has to put another composer in his place.
When a composer reaches a certain number of points(30points for instance) he goes to the hall of fame so to speak.
It's more fun that way imo.
