Ordered some things with JPC.

Some old and new music.
I've always had great respect for Paddington because he is amusingly English and a eccentric bear He is a great British institution and emits great wisdom with every growl. Of course I have Paddington at home, he is a member of the family, sure he is from the moment he was born. We have adopted him.

Oh, nice, Olivier  8)

I have heard her performing Bach via broadcasts and streaming but I do not own any of her recordings. I am pretty sure that you will like that CD.

Became interested in these last year, not easily available at the time, but forgot to put the set on a wish list (discogs, Amazon).
Someone posted them on on WAYLTL last night, which reminded me, found a set on eBay.

Excellent! Those are some fantastic works. I hope you enjoy them. It was Cesar (SymphonicAddict) who was listening to that set, btw.

Very good to read. I've been reading some various reviews on these performances and they're all quite positive.

I'm not expecting that you'll become a Tchaikovsky convert, but I do hope you enjoy these works, John.  :)
Part of the tragedy of the Palestinians is that they have essentially no international support for a good reason: they've no wealth, they've no power, so they've no rights.

Thanks, Cesar. I'm sure I mentioned I used to be a huge Tchaikovsky fan, so there's always a possibility that the flame could get rekindled.

I'm sure that recording is quite good. I have the Borodin set on Chandos (historical), which I really love.

Very nice, Ray. If I like these works, I'll probably seek out some other recordings. I already own too much orchestral music from Tchaikovsky in my collection, so I'm trying to fill in some gaps.
