Another great game for the Phillies, with a strong start by Wheeler. I'm looking forward to tomorrow!

Yulp. Snakes not conceding anything though! Nice recap -

Bryce Harper got a nice birthday homer on his very first pitch. Nick Castellanos' home run streak continues. Wheeler was on fire with five straight scoreless innings and something like 8 Ks. Very strong start for the Phillies.

I am really happy the Rangers got 2 up on the Astros.  Now, if they can sweep at home, it would go a long way to compensate for the Yankees' dreadful season.

I am not much invested in the NLCS, but find myself rooting for the Phillies, despite my past aversion to Harper.  But he has become more sympathetic since his injury, and clutch hitting.

Ditto. My loyalty to the Mets sees the rest of the division as opponents most of the season, but come playoff time I root for the Nat East team.

Lots of good pitching and defense today. It's too bad the Phillies lost, but they couldn't hit Pfaadt.

Came down to the best closers, as it has all year (imo). Once the snakes had the corners with no outs at the bottom 9 I knew it was practically in the books, though the Phils did manage to get out of an odd 8th after a Diamondback at third (I forget who) failed to run home on a no out double play. Good game.

Of course, tonight's Phils-Diamondbacks game isn't a real rubber-match but it will undoubtedly feel like one!

Both bullpens were used heavily the past two days, so I suspect that whichever team's starter can pitch longer will have the advantage. We'll see!

And Wheeler had another great start that helped the Phillies win!

The slurve! Loads of straight up fast stuff. The high heat inside was nasty, too. NLCS MVP??

I haven't given up on the Rangers.  ;)

Your boys pushed to game 7. I'm sure Adolis pissed off more than a few Stros fans with that grand slam in the top of the 9th last night.

Your faith was rewarded.

Yeah, in a big way.   ;D

Now, I can't figure out who I want to win the NLCS.  Probably the Phillies.

I can't decide either; Dbacks, because I like the underdog, or Phillies, because as annoying as Philly fans are, a pennant would be well deserved in light of the killer postseason performance they've been having. I guess I'm rooting Texas when it comes to the World Series. It would be nice to see them win for the first time.

Mapman

That was a poor last few games for the Phillies. I guess I'm supporting the Diamondbacks now: they have some exciting young players and an impressive bullpen.

NLCS sure was a rollercoaster. Must have been painful to be a Phillies fan, seeing the team fluctuating between incredible success (especially the blowout of game 2) and mediocrity. Now we have two wild card teams (the two lowest seeds, no?) in the WS. Playoff baseball continues to make no sense. I guess I'll be rooting for Texas who need their first title.
