Wim Statius Muller, plays Muller.
Antillean Dances opus 4.
Volume I.

Muller was born in Curacao in 1930, and to this day a active composer and musician. That he is a good pianist and composer I might add is clear from the opus 4. He writes Waltzes, Mazurkas, and all kind of dances, that are invigorating, melodious, well written salon pieces, of real high quality. And the recording is also well done. In toto a very pleasant passing of time with worthwhile music, that was send to me from a very good woman friend living in NY. She heard it on the radio, and did quite some work to find these recordings in Belgium, and also ordering this twofar to my address. I am grateful for that, for I clearly hear what she loves about this music. I hear it too.
Thank you Isa.

Stay indoors, drink lots of hot tea, Harry.  (Believe it or not, tea is actually better for you even than whisky  ;D)

Good morning, Bill!

The weather is forcing me to stay indoors, and I will drink hot tea instead of single malt....this time! :)

'Morning Karl.  I do not think I have had whisky in at least 20 years!  Here's to another 20 of tea!  ;)

Harry, Karl and Bill, I commend you in your excellent choice of beverage. :)  I'm having a cup of green tea myself.  The last cup of tea for the day (the caffeine will disrupt my sleep if I have any more).  I'll have to switch to decaffeinated or herbal after this.   $:)

Anyone know any better entries to the 4rth mvmnt of Bruckners 8th than this?
Can't be beaten.

Cover CD of BBC Music Magazine, and fine it is. Bartok's and Lutoslwski's Concertos for Orchestra. Tadaaki Otaka/BBC National Orchestra of Wales in Bartok. Lutoslawski himself/BBC SO in Lutoslawski. It's the first time I hear both of these works, and my appetitie is wetted. I have some other recordings in the pile, so it will be interesting to compare performances.
