'Sorry vandermolen you are banned from using the forum'. Received that puzzling message again - but all seems fine now.

About time, Jeffrey, about time!  ;D

It's a bizarre bug, just ignore it.

It's all of those postings on British composers finally catching up with you.  ;)

But I post a lot about American composers as well! Currently Howard Hanson.

From today 19-9, after not getting  email notifications, only backlog appearing in my spam folder, no postings are appearing in the alerts, and personal messages do not arrive, I now resort to unread posts, the moment is near, that I will not bother anymore posting on GMG. It is simply to bothersome.
I've always had great respect for Paddington because he is amusingly English and a eccentric bear He is a great British institution and emits great wisdom with every growl. Of course I have Paddington at home, he is a member of the family, sure he is from the moment he was born. We have adopted him.

Possibly not directly on-topic:
@Brian I tried sending a PM. Did it get through to you?

I also had trouble sending a PM to a mod today. But it eventually went through.

Alerts for being quoted seem to have stopped working (I only have it set to alert me here, not by email).

When I try to send a PM it says 'try again later' but the messages do appear in my 'sent messages' box.

Same here. The good part is that the messages not only appear as sent, they are efectively sent.

There also seem to be issues with alerts for being mentioned.

Alerts for a post being liked are still working though. And within the last couple of minutes an alert for being quoted DID come through. I don't know if that means things have resolved or whether, say, the thread involved also has an impact.

I liked, and am now quoting, your post above, @Madiel  (and mentioning you as well). Did you get all three notifications?

I only got one, but it's possible I was reacting too fast? Try again, I'll go to the loo or make a cup of tea...

Still only got 1 alert, not 3. This seems similar to the experiences Harry is having.
