Hopefully there's a sign on site telling visitors it's a war memorial so they can focus their thoughts on appropriate respect for the dead rather than thinking someone built "a full-scale recreation of Stonehenge".

Most people who visit the site visit it specifically because it is a war memorial.  It is not exactly near large cities.  Not only is there a sign and description of how and why the memorial was built and why Stonehenge was selected as the model, and who built it - though that is not really needed since all of Maryhill is down to one famous industrial pacifist of the 19th and 20th centuries - it is flanked by additional war memorials.  In the real world, people pay attention to these things much more than Europeans a landmass and an ocean away.

Todd claimed that this is a full-scale recreation of Stonehenge, forgetting to mention that it's a veterans' memorial. Nevertheless, he now feels it's necessary to make accusations. Does it seem absurd? No, it's just Todd.

Not the origin of that phrase.  It was first used in print about twenty years before he was born.  Some people claim that the phrase is a bastardization of Samiel from Der Freischütz, since that was a fresh opera when the phrase arose.  My money is on a different source.

Uh, no, she is just a silly dog. Zooming about the back yard and playing with me is the end of it. I don't treat my pets as show animals.
